Qualifications
Director of Agriculture appoints 16 members: 1 local government official whose jurisdiction includes a concentrated animal feeding facility (CAFF) located in it at the time of the official's appointment, 1 representative of the Ohio Environmental Health Association, 2 representatives of the interests of statewide environmental advocacy organizations, 4 representatives of the public, 1 licensed veterinarian, and 1 representative of the interests of each of the following: poultry producers, swine producers, sheep producers, dairy farmers, beef cattle producers, drinking water utilities and wastewater utilities. Public representatives cannot be owners or operators of CAFFs or be associated with CAFFs by contract. The Directors of Agriculture, Development, Environmental Protection, and Natural Resources, and the Dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences of the Ohio State University, or their designees, are ex officio members.
