Qualifications
10 appointed by Governor with advice and consent of Senate. 5 of the Governor's appointees must have been selling motor vehicles at retail for at least 5 years and within 2 years of appointment; of these 5, 3 must have been engaged in the sale of new motor vehicles, 1 must have been engaged in the business of selling manufactured homes, mobile homes, or recreational vehicles at retail, and 1 must have been engaged in the sale of used motor vehicles. 2 of the Governor's appointees must have been engaged in leasing of motor vehicles, and 3 of the Governor's appointees must represent the public and not have been engaged at any time in the business of selling motor vehicles in this state. Not more than 5 of the Governor's appointees may be of the same political party. Ex officio: Registrar of Motor Vehicles or designee.
