S.B. 114 of the 129th G.A. changed the name of the board from the Board of Motor Vehicle Collision Repair Registration to the Motor Vehicle Repair Board.
Qualifications
Governor must appoint 5 members who are motor vehicle collision repair operators, 1 member who has expertise in motor vehicle mechanical repair, and 1 public member who has no financial interest in the motor vehicle repair industry. The Automotive Service Association of Ohio, Inc., must submit a list of 2 names for the motor vehicle mechanical repair member and 12 names for the motor vehicle collision repair operator members for the initial appointments, and 3 names for each vacancy (including expiration of terms) that occurs thereafter. Governor may appoint member from these lists. All members must be Ohio residents, and no member may serve for more than 2 consecutive 3-year terms.
