Qualifications
Governor appoints 5 members who must reside in different geographic areas of the state and have experience either in transportation or business or economic development; 1 member must be selected from a list of 5 names provided by the Ohio Public Expenditure Council. House Speaker and Senate President each appoint 2 members, but no Council member may be a General Assembly member. Director of Transportation is a member. At least 2 members must be affiliated with the major political party not represented by the Governor. Appointed members cannot have a conflict of interest with the position.
