Qualifications
6 members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate: 3 to represent employers and 3 to represent employees, with not more than 3 members of the same political party. Must be qualified to deal with legal, accounting, actuarial, economic, and social aspects of unemployment compensation. Members also include the chairpersons of the standing committees of the Senate and House that customarily consider unemployment compensation legislation, 2 members of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate, and 2 members of the House appointed by the Speaker of the House. Not more than 3 of the 6 legislative members can be members of the same political party.
