The licensing functions of the Board are scheduled to expire under R.C. 101.62 on 12/31/2024.
Qualifications
All members must have been Ohio residents for not less than 5 years; 5 must have been licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Ohio not less than 5 consecutive years prior to their appointment; 1 must be a registered veterinary technician registered for not less than 5 consecutive years prior to appointment; and 1 must represent the public. No member may own any interest in, or be employed by, any wholesale or jobbing house dealing with supplies, equipment, or instruments used in the practice of veterinary medicine, and neither the registered veterinary technician member nor the public member may have any vested financial interest in the practice of veterinary medicine. No member may be appointed to serve more than 3, 3-year terms unless 3 years have elapsed since the end of the member's third term.
