Qualifications

A chairperson appointed by the Secretary of State; One member appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; One member appointed by the minority leader of the House of Representatives; One member appointed by the President of the Senate; (e) One member appointed by the Senate minority leader. Each member must be a registered elector to whom at least one of the following applies: (i) The person is an attorney in good standing before the supreme court of Ohio, (ii) The person has at least four years of work experience in election administration. At all times, at least three members of the commission must be attorneys in good standing before the Supreme Court of Ohio.
