Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board
The board consists of the Director of Agriculture; the following ten members appointed by the Governor who must be residents of Ohio: 1 member representing family farms; 1 member who is knowledgeable about food safety in Ohio; 2 members representing statewide organizations that represent farmers; 1 member who is a licensed veterinarian; the State Veterinarian in the Department of Agriculture; the dean of the agriculture department of a college or university located in Ohio; 2 members of the public representing consumers in Ohio; and 1 member representing a county humane society; 1 member appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives who is a family farmer; and 1 member appointed by the President of the Senate who is a family farmer.
