Public Benefits Advisory Board
Governor appoints the following: 1 representative of suppliers of competitive retail electric service; 1 representative of the residential class of electric utility customers; 1 representative of the industrial class of electric utility customers; 1 representative of the commercial class of electric utility customers; 1 representative of agricultural or rural customers of an electric utility; 2 customers receiving assistance under one or more of the low-income customer assistance programs to represent customers eligible for such assistance, including senior citizens; 1 representative of the general public; 1 representative of local intake agencies; 1 representative of a community-based organization serving low-income customers; 1 representative of environmental protection interests; 1 representative of lending institutions; and 1 person considered an expert in energy efficiency or renewables technology. House Speaker appoints 2 House members from different political parties, and Senate President appoints 2 Senate members from different political parties. Director of Job and Family Services, Chairperson of the Public Utilities Commission, Consumers' Counsel, and Director of the Air Quality Development Authority, or their designees, are members. Only Governor's appointees are voting members.
